Announcing DMA 2.0 and DEA Technical Preview

It is our pleasure to announce that Data Migration Assistant (DMA) tool v 2.0 general availability and Technical Preview of Database Experimentation Assistant (DEA) have been released at the PASS Summit.

Now we will be able to assess and upgrade our databases using DMA, and validate target database’s performance using DEA, which will build higher confidence for these upgrades.

שירות הניהול והאוטומציה מסופק ע"י תשתיות ה-Azure. כשירות PAAS, אין צורך לתחזקו ו-Microsoft מתחייבת על הזמינות שלו.

יתרונות עיקריים של השירות

·        תמיכה מלאה ב VMware \ Hyper V. תמיכה במערכות הפעלה Windows \ Linux ומכונות פיזיות.

·        ביצוע failover עבור בדיקות ללא איבוד מידע או הפסקת הפעילות של המערכות.

·        ניתן להתאים את סדר הפעלת האפליקציות ותמיכה ב Multi-tier.

·        שימוש ב Azure כאתר מארח ל DR חוסך עלויות רבות של תחזוקת הסביבה ועלויות של מכונות נוספות. לא משלמים על Compute בזמן שהאתר המשני לא פעיל. התשלום בזמן השוטף הוא עבור שירות האוטומציה וה Storage בלבד.

Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit, Version 9. 4 !

We are pleased to announce the availability of version 9.4 of the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit.

This release of the MAP Toolkit helps increase the agility and cost effectiveness of deploying the latest Microsoft technologies.

MAP 9.4 is updated to inventory, assess and report the SQL Server 2016 instances and components in the SQL Server assessment.

It also helps organizations assess their environment for Windows 10, Office 2013 and Office 365, track usage of Windows Server 2012, SharePoint Server 2013, and Exchange Server 2013, and preparing a migration to Windows Azure virtual machines.

גרסה זו טומנת בחובה שיפורי ביצועים משמעותיים ביכולות קיימות, ואף ופותחת בפני המשתמשים אפשרויות חדשות לניהול בסיס הנתונים וביצוע אנליזות מתקדמות.
